On March 17, 2023, the State Ad-ministration for Market Regulation and the Nation-al Standardization Administration issued the Speci-ficationsforRescueandRestorationofPaperAr-chives(GB/T42468—2023) to standardize the res-cue and restoration work of paper archives in the form of national standards. In this paper, the back-ground, prominent features and main contents of the series of standards are interpreted, and sug-gestions are put forward.
