Long-termism essentially advocates the implementation of decision-making practices or actions in pursuit of long-term goals,and pro-vides value orientation and method guidance for the construction of archival resources in compre-hensive archives.Archives value theory,archival governance theory,cost-benefit theory and WSR system methodology outline the theoretical frame-work for applying long-termism to the construc-tion of archival resources in comprehensive ar-chives.Based on the core elements of long-termism and drawing on the framework of WSR system methodology,it is proposed that compre-hensive archives should practice long-term val-ueism in the construction of archival resources and clarify the goals of archival resource construc-tion;practice long-term activism and seek to im-prove the efficiency of archival resource construc-tion;practice long-term motivationalism and ac-tively explore the manifestation of humanistic val-ues.
