The digital protection of cultural heritage is a long-term project of great signifi-cance for the preservation of historical civiliza-tion in human society.This article selects repre-sentative archives at all levels in Canada to ana-lyze their policy formulation,process standards,resource construction,service development,and institutional linkage regarding the digitiza-tion of cultural heritage.It summarizes the char-acteristics of cultural heritage digitization and compares with the current situation of cultural heritage digitization in archives in China to draw inspiration from improving cultural heritage digi-tization policies,standardizing cultural heritage digitization processes,integrating digital re-sources of cultural heritage,promoting digital utilization of cultural heritage and valuing digital cooperation on cultural heritage.
