The threat posed by climate change makes it urgent to enhance the climate resilience of the archives departments.Sorting out and summarizing the international policy situ-ation of archives departments to enhance their climate resilience, extracting the experience for reference in China, can provide ideas and guid-ance for China's archival departments to formu-late systematic climate resilience strategies.Firstly, the existing archives policies and practice on climate change in China are investigated to make it clear that China's archives departments have the needs for climate response policies.Secondly, the archives policies of the four devel-oped countries of the United States,Canada,Brit-ain and Australia are analyzed to summarize their policy focus. Finally, based on the policy frame-work and practical environment, the paper puts forward the approach of archival climate control from two aspects:targeted guidance to enhance climate adaptability and forward-looking encour-agement for climate change mitigation actions, which is in line with international advanced con-cepts and China's national conditions.
