Abstract
The Moon and Sixpence is supposed to be a biography novel written by William Somerset Maugham.The narrative structure contributes a lot to the characterization of the main character.In the novel,the protagonist never appears directly in the story and his story is generally pieced up by the recollections of different narrators,and it is through their narration that the character of this unique genius becomes increasingly more clear,integrated,and solid.
