The theory of"Beauty in Imagery"(美在意象)emphasizes the creativity of the mind and the spiritual value,using"imagery"as the ontological category to construct the ontology of beauty and the ontology of aesthetic experience."Imagery"serves as the central category of human aesthetic activities,which is not only related to the human world of life,but also can guide humans towards a higher spiritual realm,as it is concerned with the existence of a sacred and absolute value in the world.It is this belief and pursuit that unleash infinite vitality and creativity in human life,fostering boundless love for the human life in the universe.Humanities require a constant reflection on history and a return to tradition.The theory of"Beauty in Imagery"represents a beneficial attempt to continue the aesthetic tradition of Peking University established by Zhu Guangqian(朱光潜)and Zong Baihua(宗白华).
