Marx's Thought on the Relationship Between Labor and Sharing and its Important Value
The philosophy of pleasure can be traced back to ancient Greece, and the 18th-century French materialism argued that it is the natural nature of human beings to seek pleasure and avoid pain.Charles Fourier and other Utopian socialists explored the relationship between labor and sharing, criticized the painful labor in capitalist society, and put forward the social ideal that labor would become an enjoyable activity. The ideas of pleasure of Max Stirner and the"True Socialists"were tinged with abstract morality.Adam Smith understood doing no work and living a leisurely life as freedom and pleasure.Karl Marx reflected and criticized the previous philosophy of pleasure and the view of the relationship between labor and sharing, and put forward the viewpoint of historical change of labor and sharing from opposition to unity. He examined the separation of labour from sharing and its opposition to sharing in capitalist society from the dimensions of the opposition of labor grade to non-labor grade, labor alienation, labor division, and the analysis of the process of capitalist production with the theory of labor duality, and expounded the historical inevitable trend and value orientation of abolishing capitalist private ownership and realizing the unity of labor and sharing. In the future ideal society, individual labor autonomy and labor product sharing will be realized on the basis of public ownership. In his thought on the relationship between labor and sharing,Marx emphasizes the subject initiative and creativity of labor and sharing, criticizes the erroneous view that sharing is understood in terms of distribution or consumption apart from productive labor, and adheres to the unity of facts and values,so as to point out the fundamental way to the abandonment of the opposition of labor to sharing and to the realization of a happy life.
