Approaches of Workplace Algorithmic Regulations and Their Integration
Currently, the research on algorithmic regulation has increasingly been deepened, but the scenario-based research on algorithmic regulation is still weak.At present, the employment management by the use of algorithm is becoming more and more popular in workplaces, thus bringing about many risks which may infringe upon the basic rights and interests of workers. In workplace algorithmic regulation, the government should apply the general approaches of traditional algorithmic regulation, such as algorithmic transparency, personal information protection, assessment of algorithm impact, and the system of anti-discrimination,into workplace scenarios and create specific rules based on the characteristics of workplace relations. At the same time, the government should also use such regulatory means as the labour standard law,the regulation of working rules, and collective consultation,so as to control the algorithmic contents and procedures. The various approaches of workplace algorithmic regulations, which are interrelated and mutually influential, should be integrated. The method of integration is to adopt a concentrated piece of legislation to include all the scattered important rules related to algorithms in the workplaces, clarify the specific responsibilities and interactive obligations of the governmental departments in charge of human resources, social security, network security, and information management, and the administrative departments in charge of relevant sectoral industries, and define the legal rights for those as objects of algorithmic management,so as to protect the basic rights and interests of workers in algorithmic management.
