A Review of Research on Attribute-based Anonymous Credentials
In recent years, scholars proposed the anonymous credential system to solve the user privacy information leakage problem when presenting the identity credential. However, the traditional anony-mous credential is prone to provide overmuch unessential private information, leading to the privacy leakage risk. Thus, combined with the attribute-based signature, scholars proposed the attribute-based anonymous credential. In this paper, according to the characteristics of the anonymous credential sys-tem,the system is specifically divided into two processes of credential issuance and credential proof, which are studied separately. Then, algorithms used in each process are combined with the status quo research and the comparative analysis, and suggestions for different application scenarios are presented to optimize the system performance. In addition, characteristics of several specific anonymous credential schemes are comprehensively analyzed, and the impacts of different algorithms on the credential system performance are also compared. Finally, some issues occurring in existing attribute-based anonymous credentials research are presented and future research is prospected.
