Research on the Content of University Teachers' Development——An Empirical Study of "Good Teachers in My Mind"
To be a good teacher with "Four Merits" is the common goal pursued by many teachers. This paper adopts the combination of qualitative and quantitative research to respond to the specific con-notations and extensions of the requirements of "Four Merits" good teachers in universities and colle-ges. By combining the theoretical connotations with the practical concepts of college teacher develop-ment and evaluation and expectations of "good teachers" in students' minds,this paper proposes uni-versity and college teacher' s development content model including four dimensions of teacher ethics,teaching,scientific research and identity recognition. Among them,teacher ethics is the prerequisite for teacher development;teaching is the foundation of teacher development;scientific research is the ladder of teacher development;identity is the foundation for teacher development. University and col-lege teachers should focus on talents cultivation,take education as their mission,develop comprehen-sively,and strive to become good teachers with "Four Merits".
