Research on Distorted Illusion on the Slimming and Aesthetic Effect of A-shape Dress
To investigate the influence of design parameters of distorted optical illusion patterns on human visual perception, based on the principles of distorted optical illusion and design inspiration,a basic A-shape dress was used as a carrier. Two distorted illusion-inducing factors, namely pocar dot size and curvature radian were chosen as the design parameters, and 12 test patterns were rendered in the A-shape dress through the virtual fitting software of the garments.Subsequently, the kansei evaluation and correlation analyses were conducted. The results indicate that the pocar dot size of 2 cm is more likely to form the distorted optical illusions, and dresses with larger curvature of the pattern exhibit a more visually slimming effect. The combined variations of two design parameters are correla-ted with the visual slimming and aesthetic effect of the clothing. These findings provide valuable data references for the design and production of optical illusion garments in the future.
