Optimization of Garment Sewing Assembly Line Arrangement Based on Genetic Algorithm
To address the issue of poor practicality of the garment sewing assembly line arrangement caused by igno-ring factors such as the number of sewing equipment configurations or the types of workstation process allocations.A model was constructed that met the constraints of sewing production process priority, number of available equip-ment,and process allocation.Parallel workstations were set according to the characteristics of the sewing process and the ironing processes were grouped, with the goal of minimizing the cycle time and index of work relations. Then the genetic algorithm was used to optimize the assembly line design. The results show that the index of the work relation was 2.27,indicating that the workload of each workstation was reasonably distributed to better ensure effective and stable production at each workstation. The efficiency of the assembly line increased to 90.67%,and the line balance index was reduced to 2.87,indicating that the proposed method could effectively achieve the opti-mization goal of the garment sewing assembly line to meet the requirements of practical applications.
