The western path to modernization is the product of the development of capitalist society, rooted in the political operation logic of capital supremacy. Under the influence of rationalism, western modernization theory has gradually become a modernization theory of "legitimate form but illusory substance". Its modernization value orientation is gradually distorted in the zero-sum game between capital and political party, and the modernization practice shows the characteristics of "single linear" and "successive development". The subject thought of capital supremacy makes the western modernization development deviate from the humanistic thought to the money worship, and in the process of its modernization development, it cannot avoid the alienation of the relationship between man and nature. In contrast, the Chinese path to modernization is based on the leadership of the Communist Party of China, with its modernization theory guided by Marxism, and the modernization practice is comprehensively promoted by "parallel" and "all-round" development, and under the value orientation of the people first, it pursues the common prosperity of all people and the modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature. With its unique political advantages, the Chinese path to modernization surpasses the western path to modernization in the development mode, and its practical advantages of co-construction, co-governance and sharing provide reference and choice for the vast number of developing countries in the construction of the modernization.
