The study, in light of Wodak's Discourse-historical Approach (DHA), based on the corpus of "News Reports on Huawei Company (2014 - 2023)" in the British and American mainstream media, investigates Huawei' s international image from the viewpoint of " others-constructing" by analyzing keywords via topic dimensions, analyzing high-frequency content words collocated with "Huawei" and their concordances via strategy and language dimension. The findings reveal that Huawei's international image mainly constructed by British media from the perspective of economic and trade cooperation is presented as a business partner with continuous cooperation in non-core areas for its world-leading technology, highly cost-effective products and large-market share. While Huawei's international image usually constructed by American media from a political perspective is mainly portrayed as the most serious competitor that should be jointly suppressed for being a bargaining chip, a security threat, and a target of sanctions. It is argued that the different construction of Huawei's international image by British and American news media is closely related to the different ideologies and ruling positions of the ruling parties in the UK and the US.
