Measurement of Common Wealth Level and Spatial and Temporal Evolutionary Characteristics of Nine Border Provinces and Regions in the New Era
This paper measures the material affluence level, spiritual affluence level and overall common affluence level of nine border provinces and regions from 2002 to 2021 by constructing a system of evaluation indexes in two dimensions, namely, spiritual and material, and adopting the entropy weight TOPSIS method. The results show that:(1)except for Tibet and Liaoning, the common prosperity level of the other seven provinces in the nine border provinces and regions is increasing, showing a spatial unbalanced distribution pattern of strong in the east and weak in the west, and the western provinces and regions are developing faster, showing a"benign catching-up"devel-opment trend.(2)The level of material affluence shows a rising trend, and the living standard of the residents is constantly improving.(3)Except for Guangxi and Gansu, the level of spiritual affluence in the other provinces and regions shows a downward trend. It shows that the level of spiritual affluence in the nine border provinces and re-gions needs to be improved.Based on the conclusion of the study, countermeasures are proposed from three as-pects,such as promoting the equalization of public services and attaching importance to both material and spiritual affluence,to enhance the level of common wealth in the border areas in the new era.
