An Examination of the Tourist Impressions of Wuquanshan in Lanzhou in the First Half of the Twentieth Century
The shrines and trees on Wuquanshan?and the fertile fields below the mountain are an important part of the urban landscape of Lanzhou.Foreign explorers,Chinese dignitaries,scholars and entrepreneurs with various specialties recorded different impressions of the famous?Wuquanshan?in Lanzhou when they traveled to Wuquan-shan for scientific tourism activities.After the restoration of Wuquanshan by LIU Er-xin,its scenery has become more magnificent and beautiful,and its wholeness and coordination have been greatly enhanced.Personal experi-ence,religious beliefs of different influence to the impression of the same thing.The different aesthetic attitudes of groups under the influence of various cultural systems resulted in the differentiated impressions of Wuquanshan,which overlapped with the changes of the times.
