Japan's Colonial Plunder of Non-Metallic Mining in Northeast China
After the end of the Russo-Japanese War,with the intensification of Japan's aggressive expansion and colonial pace,its large demand for fuel oil as well as high-temperature-resistant minerals,such as smelting and machinery manufacturing industries,prompted Japan's investigation,exploitation and plunder of non-metallic min-erals in Northeast China.Japan in order to further control the northeastern mineral resources after the establishment of the Manchurian iron,using the Sino-Japanese joint venture in Manchuria for the development of mineral re-sources,and oil,magnesite,clay,limestone ore and other non-metallic resources gradually listed as an important target of the investigation,on the basis of the establishment of a series of mineral resources processing societies to monopolise the production of northeastern mineral resources and trade and transport,this has put the non-metallic mineral resources of Northeast China under the control of Japanese capital for a long time.
