On 5 December 2023,OECD released the results of PISA 2022,providing the latest evidence to have an insight into how global learning performance is changing and where it is going,as well as to evaluate progress towards the SDG 4.It is found that the access to pre-school and secondary education has been improved while overall academic performance shows clear decline. The COVID-19 pandemic, along with other challenges, has exacerbated inequities in education across economies.Nevertheless, there are still some economies that have improved education quality and equity.Raising resilience in education is regarded as the key to cope with the global education crisis,by ensuring appropriate financial investment in education, avoiding long-term school closures, focusing on students'well-being,laying emphasis on social and emotional skills, increasing supportive family engagement, and utilizing digital technologies effectively.
