Digital Transformation of Vocational Education in Brazil:Motives,Paths, and Challenges——An Analysis Based on Knowledge Ecology Theory
As a significant representative of emerging economies,Brazil actively promotes the digital transformation of vocational education to align with the surge in digital economy development and enhance integration into the global wealth transfer process.Applying the knowledge ecosystem model for analyzing the digital transformation of vocational education in Brazil,it is found that both the"endogenous process"driven by internal changes and the"exogenous process"stimulated by external environmental factors propel the digital transformation of vocational education in Brazil.Brazil promotes the digital transformation in vocational education through three ways:promoting collaboration within the knowledge system, facilitating interaction between the knowledge system and the technology system, and adapting the knowledge system to the environmental system. While Brazil has achieved progress in the digital transformation of vocational education,it encounters challenges such as inadequate knowledge exchange within the knowledge system and difficulties in coordinating funds. Moreover, the establishment of a fair and positive digital education value ecosystem is impeded by risks such as the digital divide and data leakage.
