A Comparative Study on the Development of Pre-primary Education under the Background of Building a Powerful Nation of Education
Building an education power,the cornerstone is basic education.Pre-primary education,as the initial stage of basic education,is an important part of the journey towards building an education power.Many countries around the world have ensured the development of pre-primary education by guaranteeing the enrollment rate,implementing the policy of free or compulsory education,increasing financial expenditure,raising the proportion of public expenditure,scientifically allocating the ratio of teachers to children,improving the remuneration of teachers,upgrading the qualification requirements,implementing digital education and other measures.Comparison reveals that there is still a gap between China's pre-primary education and that of the fifteen education powers.China should steadily promote the universalisation of pre-primary education by adhering to the attribute of public welfare and universality,increase the financial investment in pre-primary education in order to alleviate the burden on parents,improve the working conditions and standards of teachers through various measures,and promote the construction of a strong pre-primary education country through the digital transformation of education.
