Study Abroad on Teachers' Professional Vision:Perspective Structure,Influence Factors and Research Approach
Teacher's professional vision refers to the unique way in which teachers notice,understand,and solve educational events,reflecting a situational and comprehensive teaching evaluation ability that teachers possess. Its theoretical significance has direct guiding value for the curriculum design of pre-service teacher training and the professional development projects of in-service teachers. Previous studies have pointed out that the perspective structure of teachers' professional vision mainly includes two sub processes:attention and reasoning. This operationalized definition reveals two key steps for teachers to understand teaching and is suitable for determining the external representation attributes of teachers' professional abilities in various teaching contexts. Among them,the disciplinary background,teaching experience,and activity design of teacher professional development projects can all affect the development of teachers' professional vision. The current empirical research on teacher professional vision mainly focuses on the single context of video club. Future research should model teacher professional vision in a more comprehensive context,and further explore ways to accelerate the development of teacher professional vision.
