Interdisciplinary learning,within a broader educational framework,exerts its transformative impact,moving from research-based interventions to widely applicable teaching practices,and shaping sustainable and scalable modes of learning.Clarifying the specific mechanisms of integration and innovation is crucial to answering this key question.Addressing this challenge requires leveraging the insights from the learning sciences,which investigate how people learn and how learning can be supported.Learning scientists advocate for adopting an ecological perspective,delving into the"black box"of interdisciplinary learning by exploring the interconnections within a nested structure comprising individual activities,collective collaboration,school curricula,and the broader educational systems within society.Specifically speaking,it aims to promote appropriate epistemology to facilitate individual student's automonous and deep engagement in integration and focuses on how groups leverage agency to enable continuous collaborative innovation.The attention is also directed towards embracing diverse interactions among participants,knowledge construction,and media environments,while designing a holistic interdisciplinary course activity system.Additionally,critical research is employed to examine how social political factors shape interdisciplinary educational practices.
