Route Selection Design of Recreation System in Residential Historic Districts under the Concept of Slow-Paced Friendly:A Case Study of Beixinqiao District in Beijing
The construction of a continuous and safe walking and bicycle network is the key part to realize slow-paced friendly in urban areas. It provides supports for the activities such as walking, recreation and sports. Taking Beixinqiao, an urban area of Dongcheng district, Beijing, as an example, the current situation and problems of Beixinqiao ' s recreation system are investigated, and the recreation system construction and route selection technology in residential historic districts are analysed. By means of data statistics and quantitative morphological analysis, a rational ranking of the social demands of the recreation system is made. The"human-space-path" collaborative recreation system design model is proposed to promote humanistic design towards slow-paced friendly, and it works to create a livable and healthy slow living atmosphere in historical districts.
