Study on the Spatial Morphologic Evolution of Sanlihe Area in Xianyukou Street under the Influence of Water System
Under the background of the renewal of the old city, the protection of historical blocks presents problems such as single form and obvious homogeneity. Studying the characteristics and internal laws of spatial form evolution of historical blocks is helpful to trace the source of historical and cultural blocks and preserve the traditional characteristics of blocks. Sanlihe area of Xianyukou district is different from the traditional hutongs in Beijing because of its unique arc-shaped street lanes and north-south hutongs. The methods of literature collation and field investigation are used to study its historical evolution, explore the reasons for the formation of Sanlihe area texture, and study the evolution process of spatial form of Sanlihe area in Xianyukou district under the influence of water system from three aspects:block texture, street space and architectural form from the angle of face-line-point. Finally, it is concluded that the evolution process of the spatial form of Sanlihe area is dynamic and influenced by natural economic, and political factors in different periods. Some suggestions on the protection and renewal of the historic district are put forward in the paper. Sanlihe area should give full play to the characteristics of the district and preserve the historic memory of the district in order to add luster in the reconstruction of the old city.
