Experience and Enlightenment of the French Landscape Atlas under the Territorial Spatial Planning System
China's territorial spatial planning, based on the outcomes of the third national land survey, has delineated the"three zones and three lines", establishing a binary opposition between"protection"and"development."However, it has failed to fully expound the complexity of the territorial spatial system. The French landscape atlas, with"landscape"as its core, conducts a survey of resource background, characterizes the differences in landscape characters between regions, and studies the relationship between regional development and landscape changes. It's a landscape management tool that serves regional planning and supports territorial transformation, as well as a cultural product that reflects French nationalism and landscape values. Based on the historical background and process of the French landscape atlas, its content composition are studied, and main applications are studied, and the suggestions in terms of value concepts, institutional system, methodology, and display of results are put forward, with a view to providing useful experience and ideas for China's territorial spatial planning and management.
