Dynamic Coupling of Digital Economy and High-quality Energy Development and Its Emission Reduction Effect
Promoting the coupling coordination of digital economy and high-quality energy development is of great significance to realizing the"double carbon"goal.Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2013 to 2020,the article explored the spatiotemporal pattern, dynamic evolution, regional differences and carbon emission reduction effects of the coupling coordination degree of digital economy and high-quality energy development by utilizing the coupling coordination model,Markov chain,Dagum's Gini coefficient, and spatial econometric model. The results are as follows.1)The coupling coordination degree of each province shows an upward trend, but there are obvious gradient differences.(2)The coupling coordination degree of each province shows a spatial development trend of"high in the east"and"low in the west".(3)The coupling coordination level has the characteristic of"club convergence"and it is difficult to achieve leapfrog development in the short term. After considering spatial factors, the coupling coordination degree has a"spatial spillover"effect, and the phenomenon of"One takes on the color of one's company"exists.(4)The spatial differences in coupling coordination degrees are generally shrinking, and inter-regional differences are the main cause of the differences in coupling coordination degrees.(5)The coupling coordination degree can effectively reduce carbon emissions, and the emission reduction effect is more obvious in the eastern and central regions.Based on the above results, the article proposes that differentiated policies should be implemented according to local conditions, and the"East Counts,West Counts"project should be actively implemented,so as to promote the coordinated resonance of the digital economy and high-quality energy development and effectively reduce carbon emissions.
