This study analyzes the contents and methods of integrating and representing Chinese culture in two sets of foreign language textbooks for vocational education. It is found that: 1) while the overall compiling concept and unit structure of each textbook remains consistent, the frequency and distribution pattern of the Chinese cultural contents integrated and represented in each textbook varies; 2) the predominant integrations and representations of Chinese culture in vocational foreign language textbooks are traditional culture and contemporary culture, and greater emphasis must be placed on revolutionary culture; 3) exercises, including reading comprehension, blank-filling, Chinese-to-English translation, and writing, primarily serve to implicitly integrate and represent Chinese culture in the vocational foreign language textbooks; 4)The frequency of integration and representation of modern culture related to vocational education in foreign language teaching materials for vocational education is very low, and all of them are implicitly integrated and represented. This study centers on a systematic discussion of the contents and methods of Chinese culture that should be integrated and represented in the vocational English textbooks, which is of great significance in exploring how vocational foreign language textbooks can give full play to their positive role in reforming and innovating foreign language education.
