A Study on the Ideological and Political Construction of Engineering Education Programs——Based on the Development of Industrial Heritage Values
Driven by relevant national ministries and commissions, the protection and development of industrial heritage is gradually being integrated with ideological and political education(IPE)in engineering courses. This study explores the foundation, logic, and pathways of incorporating IPE into engineering courses based on the exploitation of industrial heritage value. It has been found that there is an urgent need for effective communication between instrumental rationality and value rationality in the IPE of engineering courses.Meanwhile, the protection and exploitation of industrial heritage have amassed substantial theoretical accomplishments, practical experiences, and IPE resources. The resulting complementary supply-demand relationship establishes a solid foundation for this integration.By further emphasizing the concomitant historical origins and shared scientific and technological roots of industrial heritage and engineering education, this study uncovers more affinity-driven IPE elements embedded within the industrial culture of industrial heritage, thus forming the construction logic. The specific integration pathway should prioritize fostering confidence and self-reliance in industrial culture, progressing through the stages of constructing a theoretical foundation→developing educational resources→exploring guarantee mechanisms in pilot practices. This approach offers a valuable reference for integrating IPE into engineering courses.
