A Strategic Study on the Pricing of Public Data Products—Insights from Typical Infrastructure Pricing
In response to the problems exisiting in public data,including its large volume,limited circulation,and underutilization,various places have begun exploring the authorized operation of public data,making it available in the form of products and services.Therefore,the exploration of scientific and appropriate public data pricing mechanism has become a key issue.From the perspective of the'infrastructure attributes'of public data products,this article analyzes the pricing models and mechanisms in typical infrastructure field through the three dimensions of'cost-demand-benefit',which can offer valuable insights into pricing public data products.Public data product pricing should balance cost recovery with sustainable revenue while dynamically adjusting pricing strategies over time.Furthermore,pricing should not only respond to user demand by implementing differentiated pricing but also balance the characteristics of deferred and supportive benefits of public data products to maximize their value.
