The design of a new type of glycerine enema container
Objective In clinical use,there are problems such as easy puncture,reflux,and high residual amount of glycerine enema.We design a new type of glycerine enema container based on the anatomical structure and mechanical properties of the rectum and anus to reduce anal canal injuries and improve the utilization rate of enema solvents.Methods The new type of glycerine enema container includes four parts:container plug,anti puncture ball,conduit,and container body.The container plug and anti stab ball are composed of gourd shaped balls of different sizes;Design the catheter lumen in a Y-shape and add a rolling ball at the catheter tip;The main shape of the container for opening the plug is a swallowtail shape.We use SolidWorks software,assign parameters to various parts of the container and perform simulation analysis to generate a model.Finally,the volume,length,pressure,and other parameters of the new type of glycerine enema container model are calculated through commands to determine the reflux and residual volume of the glycerine enema container,and compared with commercially available corkscrew containers.Results The tip pressure of the new type of glycerine enema is 1.6 MPa,the reflux rate is 0.09 mL,and the residual flow rate is 25 mL,pain score is 1,the new type of glycerine enema container has the effect of preventing stab wounds and reflux.Conclusions The new type of the glycerine enema container designed in this article has significant advantages,stronger practicality,can reduce anal canal injuries,and improve the solvent utilization rate of the enema.
