Analysis for a rapid propagation cracks in triangular hole in magnetoelectroelastic body
Purposes—To investigate the mechanical properties and fracture mechanism of magneto-electroelastic materials with motion defect. Methods—The mechanical behavior is studied on the basis of the fracture theory of magnetoelectroelastic materials and the generalized complex function theory, the fracture problem of magnetoelectroelastic materials is transformed into the problem of stable crack dynamics by Galileo transformation. Results—Under magnetoelectric completely impermeable bounda-ry conditions, obtained are respectively the analytical expressions of dynamic stress intensity factor and mechanical strain energy release rate at crack tip. Conclusions—The damage and fracture of mag-netoelectroelastic materials are not only affected by the geometrical parameters of the defect and the damaged loads applied, but also closely related to the motion speed of the defects.
