Variation characteristics of ionospheric TEC in Baoji region
Purposes—To analyze the diurnal and seasonal variation characteristics of ionospheric TEC in Baoji region,Shaanxi,China.Methods—GNSS TEC data in solar maximum(2014)and mini-mum(2019)are analyzed in a statistical manner and compared with the IRI 2016 model to analyze the characteristics of ionospheric TEC variations in the Baoji region.Results—The diurnal variation is similar to sinusoidal variation in all seasons except for the summer of the solar maximum.Ionospheric TEC decreases monotonically with the season in solar maximum,while in solar minimum it is maxi-mum in summer and minimum in winter.Conclusions—There are significant diurnal and seasonal vari-ation characteristics of ionospheric TEC in the Baoji region,which can provide some references for the corrective time delay of radio wave signals through the ionosphere.
