Scientific and technical periodicals can promote academic exchanges,shape the brand of the periodical,and enhance its influence by organizing academic conferences.The technology of photo live streaming not only has visual advantages,the characteristic of timely sharing,and other communication features,but also has low technical barriers,high cost-effectiveness,strong usability,and rich application scenarios,making it suitable for use by the editorial departments of scientific and technological periodicals.This paper first analyzes the advantages of scientific and technological periodicals organizing academic conferences using photo live streaming;then,taking the academic conference with photo live streaming carried out by the Journal of Jinan University(Natural Science and Medical Edition)as an example,it summarizes the whole process management experience from software selection,platform construction,and pre-conference preparation to in-conference collaboration and post-conference evaluation;finally,it puts forward some thoughts on the photo live streaming of academic conferences in the implementation process:to increase the"secondary dissemination"to extend the dissemination chain,to combine various dissemination modes to enrich the dissemination content,and to avoid the risks that may be involved in the information dissemination process,etc.
