Strategies of comprehensive journals clusters construction and service capability improvement:taking Periodical Press,Southwest Institute of Technology and Engineering as an example
The development of journal clustering is a crucial strategy for the growth and strengthening of the journal industry.In comparison to professional journal clusters,comprehensive journal clusters encounter greater challenges in disciplinary construction,academic resource sharing and flow,and journal interaction.This article focuses on six journals from Periodical Press,at the Southwest Institute of Technology and Engineering,focusing on three aspects:column construction,topic planning,and expert team construction to build a journal cluster.Due to the inherent consistency and mutual support among the three,their combination and coordinated promotion can form a multiplier effect in promoting high-quality development.In the process of constructing a journal cluster,more than ten academic conferences were created based on the academic resources of the journal cluster,gradually establishing a pattern in which the journal cluster leads the conference cluster,using the conference cluster to promote the journal cluster,and promoting the coordinated development of the two groups.
