Coordinating Development and Security:The Global Value of China's National Governance Practice and Experience
Development and security are fundamental issues in national governance and the two main goals that need to be achieved in a coordinated manner. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Cmmittee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has creatively proposed a strategic con-ception of coordinating development and security, emphasized the equal importance of development and securi-ty, and implemented a dynamic balance and positive interaction between high-quality development and high-level security in national governance practice. Globally, the value goals of development and security have been universally recognized, but development and security neither have received equal attention, nor are the gover-nance practice in which development and security mutually reinforce far from being realized. The global signifi-cance of China's practice and experience in coordinating development and security is becoming increasingly prominent. China has successively proposed and implemented three major global initiatives, fully faced the fun-damental status of global development and security issues, and continuously explored national governance prac-tice that coordinates development and security, so as to better assisting the mutual promotion in coordinating de-velopment and security governance worldwide.
