IRS-Assisted Multi-Target Beamforming Algorithm for Millimeter-Wave MIMO System
It is a well-known problem that the distributed intelligent reflective surfaceassisted millimeter-wave multiple-input multiple-output system cannot balance energy efficiency and spectral efficiency. To this end,an active and passive beamforming algorithm with multi-objective optimization based on energy efficiency and spectral efficiency trade-off has been proposed.Firstly,a multi-objective optimization framework for EE and SE is developed using the linear weighting method.Secondly, the alternating optimization algorithm is used to jointly optimize active beamforming and passive beamforming. Finally, the semi-positive definite relaxation algorithm is used to solve the non-convex unit mode constraint problem of IRS.Simulation results show that the algorithm can flexibly adjust the trade-off coefficient according to the actual communication service to achieve the balance between EE and SE,which has certain effectiveness.
