Visual Design and Popular Expression of the Central Soviet Area Newspaper Infographic
There are a lot of information charts in the various newspapers and periodicals published in the Central Soviet Area.They are a design form mainly based on graphic information and accompanied by art cartoons.It is the early practice of the CPC through traditional editing technology to create visual insight,cognitive rules and information visualization.This paper adopts information visualization design and visual research methods,and conducts in-depth investigation from the image,form,theme,design language and other aspects of the Soviet newspapers and periodicals.The information charts are divided into six basic design types,such as columnar,gradient,serial,map,group calligraphy and symbol,which respectively organize or show different theme contents.For the design of newspaper information charts,the publishing institutions of the Soviet Union creatively used the design principles of mutual explanation of graphics and texts,easy to understand and symbol expression according to their own public opinion environment,media technology and the massesinformation literacy and Marxist popularization line.In the revolutionary war,they successfully propagandized the ideology and political thought of the CPC,effectively played the role of information dissemination and organizational mobilization.It also provides historical experience for the information visualization design of news newspapers and periodicals.
