摘要
在执迷与顿悟、变革与认同、危机与转型之间,严复带着极为强烈的问题意识"应对三千年未有之大变局",以出版为媒介旨意三个面向,一是通过翻译和出版西方著作来传播先进的政治、科学、哲学等思想,以改良封建政治秩序;二是欲借译书以开民智,将宣传启蒙思想、倡导社会变革为目标;三是在"中西古今"的命题下解决"文明的冲突".严复的启蒙思想在"文本—出版—阅读"构筑的场域盛匣入世,引发近代一场深刻的思想革命,为建设中华民族现代文明提供了导向意义.
Abstract
Between obsession and epiphany,reform and identification,crisis and transformation,Yan Fu carries a strong sense of questioning and"responds to a major change that has not been seen in three thousand years".He regards publishing as the media's purpose in three aspects.Firstly,he spreads advanced political,scientific,philosophical and other ideas through translating and publishing Western works to improve the feudal political order.The second is to borrow translated books to enlighten the people,with the goal of promoting enlightenment ideas and advocating social change.The third is to resolve the"clash of civilizations"under the proposition of"ancient and modern China and the West".Yan Fu's Enlightenment Thought entered the world in the field of"text-publication-reading"construction,triggering a profound ideological revolution in modern times and providing guidance for the construction of modern civilization of the Chinese nation.
