There are a variety of newfood contact materials in daily life,and enamelware is becoming more and more popular for its versatility and durability.Therefore,it is particularly important to evaluate the safety of food-contact enamel materials.This paper summarizes and tabulates the regulations and standards for the migration tests and limits on elements leached from food contact enamelware in several major markets across the world.A brief discussion regarding the evolution of related standards in China(Mainland)is also carried out.This paper is expected to provide some technical insight for manufacturers and suppliers of food contact enamelware,who wish to export their products to international markets.
