With the advent of the video terminal era,the prevalence rate of myopia has increased significantly and shown a trend of younger people,and how to control the development of myopia more effectively has become a social research hotspot nowadays.Orthokeratology lens (OK lens)has been used in clinical application for nearly 20 years,and its effect of controlling the occurrence and development of myopia has been widely recognized at home and abroad.At present,peripheral defocus of retina is the mainstream theory of controlling myopia by OK lens,which has been widely concerned by scholars.The principle of peripheral retinal defocus was expounded from the defocus animal model test.Based on the peripheral retinal defocus theory,the relevant studies on the control effect controlling myopia and the related factors affecting the peripheral retinal defocus amount of OK lens were summarized,so as to provide reference for effective measures of myopia prevention and control in clinical practice.
