One of the mechanisms of myopia is mediated by scleral factors, and sleral fibroblasts are an important component of the outermost tissue of the eyeball. This study prepared magnetic/graphene (MNP/G)composite nanomaterials using covalent precipitation method and introduced them into scleral fibroblasts for magnetic stimulation. The effect of magnetic stimulation on cell growth was observed, and the proliferation status of scleral fibroblasts was detected using CCK-8 method. The growth status of cells was observed using an inverted phase contrast microscope, and the toughness of scleral tissue was inferred by measuring the concentration of hydroxyproline. The results indicated that magnetic stimulation can promote cell growth without any difference from the normal state as well as collagen synthesis.Magnetic stimulation may be a method to increase scleral toughness, and be expected to provide new methods and ideas in the prevention and correction of myopia.
