Application Evaluation of Thermal Expansion Method for Measuring Glass Thermal Properties
Thermal expansion method can measure glass thermal properties, including coefficient of thermal expansion α and Characteristic temperature points such as strain point Tst,transition point Tg,annealing point Ta,expansion softening point Td,etc. The evaluation of the application in measuring glass thermal properties using thermal expansion method shows that:(1)Thermal expansion coeficient α of glass will change with temperature changes, and within a certain range, the larger the heating rate, the smaller the coefficient of thermal expansion;(2)The repeatability deviation of thermal expansion method for measuring the characteristic temperature points of glass is within±10℃.Within a certain range, the higher the heating rate, the higher the characteristic temperature point temperature;(3)The optimal heating rate for measuring thermal properties of glass using thermal expansion method is 3 ℃/min;(4)The higher the B2O3 content and the lower the CaO content in glass, the higher the thermal expansion coefficient α of glass, the smaller the strain point Tst and transition point Tg of glass, the larger the annealing temperature range.
