Tin bath is an important equipment for float glass forming.Under the action of its own gravity and surface tension,the glass-melt is spread,polished and evenly cooled on the molten tin liquid surface in the tin bath.With the acting force of the edge drawing machine,the glass ribbon is drawn or accumulated to form a certain thickness.In the forming process of float glass,some defects will also occur in the float glass,the main locations which defects occur are the spout and trough(contact part of glass melt and refractory),the bath roof,the bath bottom,tin bath outlet and other positions.The types and causes of defects in the forming process of glass plate in tin bath are described in detail,and the corresponding treatment measures are analyzed and discussed,so as to reduce the influence of forming defects on production and improve output and quality.
