Effect of nano-ZnO on electrical properties of ZnO varistor
Nano-ZnO doped zinc varistors with volume addition of 2%,4%,6% and 8% nano-ZnO were prepared. The high activity of nanoparticles was used to prevent migration of the interface,increase the grain boundary number of interfaces, promote homogenization and densification of the components,improve potential gradient and the energy absorption capacity. When the addition of nano-ZnO increases from 2%to 8%,potential gradient increases from 347 V/mm to 395 V/mm,while 8/20μS residual voltage ratio decreases,2 ms square-wave impulse current increases from 121 A to 149 A.
