Influencing factors on fear of hypoglycemiain middle-aged and elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus based on Logistic regression and decision tree model
Objective:To analyze the influencing factors of fear of hypoglycemia in middle-aged and elderly pa-tients with type 2 diabetes mellitus from multiple perspectives, and to provide reference for early clinical identification and screening of fear of hypoglycemia. Methods:A total of 404 middle-aged and elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who were hospitalized in the Department of Endocrinology,Tangshan Gongren Hospital were selected as the re-search objects.Logistic regression and decision tree model were used to analyze the influencing factors of fear of hypogly-cemia in middle-aged and elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and the differences between the two models were compared. Results:Logistic regression analysis showed that marital status, fasting blood glucose at admission,du-ration of diabetes, type of treatment, type of hypoglycemia, and nocturnal hypoglycemia were the influencing factors of fear of hypoglycemia in middle-aged and elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. While, the results of the deci-sion tree model showed that the duration of diabetes, the type of hypoglycemia, and the experience of nocturnal hypogly-cemia were the influencing factors. Conclusion:Logistic regression and decision tree model can be combined to explore and analyze the influencing factors of fear of hypoglycemia in middle-aged and elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mel-litus from multiple perspectives,so as to provide reference for clinical implementation of early intervention measures.
