With Harbin being awarded the hosting rights for the 9th Asian Winter Games in 2025,the international influence of Heilongjiang Province has been enhanced,providing favorable opportunities for the development of winter sports in China.Colleges and universities,as the hubs for cultural transmission and talent cultivation,have the unique attribute of English disciplines that transcend cultures.The organic integration of ice and snow culture into university English teaching is an important way to fully utilize the multiple educational functions of ice and snow culture.In the face of the current absence of ice and snow culture in English teaching at universities in Heilongjiang Province,this paper proposes deepening curriculum integration to clarify the inherent connection between ice and snow culture and university English courses.It suggests promoting cultural fusion,designing university English teaching content with ice and snow culture characteristics.Furthermore,it advocates enriching teaching methods and innovates the application of ice and snow culture in University English teaching.Updating teaching philosophies and fostering awareness and cultural dissemination abilities related to ice and snow culture are also proposed.The aim is to integrate ice and snow culture into English teaching at universities in Heilongjiang Province.By doing these measure,it can cultivate more versatile talents in China,effectively supporting the construction of a leading ice and snow nation in the post-Winter Olympics era,and enhance China's international status in winter sports.
