Research on the Sustainable Development of Ice and Snow Sports Events in China from the Perspective of the AGIL Model
AGIL is a social system theoretical model containing four major functions of adaptation, goal attainment, integration and maintenance mode, which can be used to study and understand the social structure. This paper applies the AGIL model to evaluate the sustainable development of ice and snow sports events in China,in the context of the country's significant emphasis on promoting these sports. It is found that there are problems of poor integration and symbiosis, goals not yet reached, insufficient integration and synergy,as well as the virtualisation of cultural construction.Further against the AGIL theoretical model,it is proposed that the top-level design should be strengthened to promote integration and symbiosis in the aspect of adaptive function;the development goals should be clearly defined and the results should be achieved in stages in the aspect of target function;the co-operation mechanism should be constructed in the aspect of integrative function to promote multi-directional attraction;and the ice and snow culture should be explored in the aspect of sustaining function to promote cultural inheritance. The overall aim is to provide a more specific and comprehensive path for the sustainable development of China's ice and snow events through integration and symbiosis and multi-directional diversion,so as to promote China's ice and snow events to achieve even more brilliant achievements in the future development.
