The Mass Cultivation of Alpine Skiing in China from the Perspective of Environmental Differences
Alpine skiing is an important form of winter sports for the mass, but due to the late development of China's skiing industry and regional differences in environmental conditions, the current public participation rate in alpine skiing is relatively low,and its popularization is uneven. By analyzing the comprehensive environments of leading alpine skiing regions both domestically and internationally,it is found that favorable natural environments,well-developed skiing resort infrastructure, comfortable and convenient supporting services, and a strong skiing culture are the key factors that attract the mass and ensure rapid development in these areas. Regarding of this, strategies are proposed to guide macro-level policies with micro-level support and to develop the skiing industry in a diversified manner. Enhancing skiing resort facilities, optimizing the skiing consumption environment, leveraging skiing events to enrich public leisure options, and fostering skiing culture to increase public awareness are recommended approaches. The aim is to align with and learn from the advanced experiences and practices of leading alpine skiing regions, simultaneously enriching both the "hardware" supply and "software" resources of alpine skiing, and accelerating its mass popularization in China. This will help create new growth points for the ice and snow economy in the post-Winter Olympics era.
