The Normative Research on the Design of Ski Slope Safety Monitoring Systems in Ski Resorts
The ski resorts in China mainly take use of the video safety monitoring systems to ensure the skiing safety, but this type of system usually lacks of the design and response to the special environment such as low temperature, strong wind, low visibility of the piste and the timely warning and recognition of safety events. This paper has studied the composition unit and technical elements of the ski slope safety monitoring system by using the method of literature review and research analysis. It is concluded that the system should at least include monitoring sensor unit, transmission and power supply unit, auxiliary facilities unit, command and control unit, operation and management unit of five parts. For the monitoring sensor unit, regulatory attention should be paid to coverage area/scale,viewing angle, and the number, density, and placement of equipment. The transmission unit requires optimal routing, transmission mode, and power supply design.Auxiliary facility unit design should regulate the location of the facility, information display, and communication signal quality. The monitoring cameras should be suited to major domestic ski slope types. It is recommended to carry out follow-up research on the standardised design of the command and control unit and the operation and management unit, the detailed technical requirements of each unit's equipment and facilities, the real-time intelligent image analysis technology for ski slope safety event detection and warning,as well as the practical application outcomes of the system.
