Many scholars believe that The Art of War draws on the wisdom of The Book of Chan-ges.However,from the perspective of history, when Sun Tzu presented his book The Art of War to the Emperor of Wu Kingdom,Confucius had not yet begun compiling The Companion to Changes.Sun Tzu could only read the The Book of Changes, which was compiled by Emperor Wen of Zhou Kingdom for the purpose of recording divination and did not focus on discussing philosophical ideas related to the nat-ural law and human nature. The Yin and Yang lines were only used for tying knots and recording events, and rarely discussed dialectical thinking. On the other hand, there are significant differences in the values of The Art of War and The Companion to Changes, which emphasizes righteous warfare with benevo-lence,righteousness and morality as the main guidance, while The Art of War emphasizes the pursuit of profit with victory through attack and conquest as the main guidance. The war orientation and formation purpose of the two ideologies are quite different. However, with the development of history,Confucian-ism has become the mainstream ideology. In order to survive and develop,Sun Tzu's military studies have gradually approached Confucianism, and the ideological core of Confucianism has gradually penetra-ted into Sun Tzu's military science, enriching the ideological content of Sun Tzu's military science.
